• MS08-067 Worm — Conficker | Downadup | Kido; updated variants of the Conficker worm infected millions of computers during Q1 2009
• Social Networking — the rapid growth of social networking sites such as Facebook continues in 2009. Social engineering attempts are being made to exploit users.
• Database Breaches — significant database breaches continue to threaten consumers with the risk of identity theft and credit card fraud.
• Mobile phone threats — the growth of smartphone technology continues. New location based services and potential privacy threats have emerged, a new exploit was discovered, and the first SMS worm (using a legitimate S60 3rd Edition certificate) spread in Asia.
