They are part of my webhosting service, called Webalizer. There are lots more of course, but I posted the ones I think tell what I need to know.

Well, I don't know if this is coincidental or not, but the 19th of August had the biggest number of hits since I opened the new site, with over 22,000 hits!!!

The second largest amount was April 18, at just under 19,000.

Could the bootlist readers have done this???

Not that I'm complaining mind you. ;)

And can ya imagine how much faster we would grow, if everyone recommended the site to their buddies? ;)

Well, lately I've been too lazy to visit TIC at home, so I've just been visiting it during school time. Today was a bit different cos I was at dreamworld all day on an excursion. :D

None of my mates are interested, however. :(

I did, however, let them know I got the link for the fix for block-checker from ya. :P

Question for you all:

If you look at some of the referer links, there are several which I know, ones from PCPitstop, PCMag, xanga, Spyware Warriors, so forth. I post at all thoe sites, so they make sense to me.

But there are sevaral which I know I have never been to. The way they are produced can be rather convoluted tho.

I was wondering if anyone was familiar with any of the other links located in previous monthly stats.

Thanks kids!!

Sorry, none of 'em ring a bell. But I don't visit that many sites. ;)

Just wondering why you have March 24th repeated twice under "the top 10 days total hits?"

Judging by the steady increase in the hits, it must be interesting to at least SOME people :D

I don't recognize any of the referring sites (well, I do, but not as relevant to my case.) I thought the tracking thingies showed the "site where you were last at" - even in the case of those of us who type in the URL or have this site bookmarked. But it would seem that we are listed under the 82% Direct Request. (Mind you, that's as it should be, IMHO)
PS - please excuse use of highly technical jargon - eg "tracking thingies" :P

Actually, if I pasted the explanaition given by Webalyzer you'd be really confused, cuz its not an 'exact' science. Seems the only thing thats a given are the 'Direct Requests'.

And last nite I was looking at referers again, and some very oddbals showed up too!!

Here is an odd stat:
The month of November appears to have 2 hours of the day which are the busiest by far. And it is the only month to show this since March.

Between the hours of 11AM and 1PM there is a significant jump in average hits in relation to all the other hours of the day.

I'm wondering if this has anything to do with the Infopackets writings?

I'll have to ask to see what their stats show.

Well, maybe, but that's an odd stat, out of all the months, for this particular month to have those two hours have such a significant jump in hits.

Besides, if no one is coming to view the site, I need a new hobby. :P

Well, I'm happy to report the site is chugging along with hi-hit days almost every other day this month.

We are currently at 294K and the month is just half over. At this rate, we should easily hit 500K.

Average hits are well over 22K per day.

Thanks everyone for your increasing interest in the site.

Even if it's just for some free swag. ;)

UPDATED: FEB 27

Well, we have surpassed 600K hits!!!!

Now, there have been a couple of bot hitting the site this month, which I'm figuring will be about 30K in total maybe, but I'm not 100% sure.

We're still showing a huge growth this month. I am also seeing alot of search sites in my top referers too, like 6-8 out of the top 15, which has never happened before, so maybe that's it.

The site is averaging over 25K hits per day.

OK, here are the top days total hits since the forum has been running.

712,356 Hits For Febuary!!!

Hits per Hour: Ave: 1060 Hi: 11396
Hits per Day: Ave:2 5441 Hi: 40927

Loads of hi hit days. 24 out of 28 days of the month were new highs

Old hit record:486,677

That's a jump of nearly 230K hits!!! :o :o **@ iii

That sure is alot of people [;] at their PCs coming and visiting.

It's also a month of lots of search engine hits, as that is really the biggest difference in the stats. 10 out of the top 15 were related to search engines, so for whatever reason, the bots have found this site.

Now if only we could get that much of an increase in members rofl

That might be too scarey.

Thanks to everyone, I appreciate it.

Well, this last months stats took a significant dive.

Month of April:
Total Hits 347,303
Total Unique Sites 7,705
Total Unique URLs 471
Total Unique Referrers 675

Hits per Hour ave:482 High: 2,502
Hits per Day ave: 115,76 High: 21,044

This does not surprise me given the fact the halls have been echoing in here as of late.

However, I'm hoping things come back to life soon, thanks to all who partake in posting and providing info.
